What signs always want their exes back? Why? What traits make this so?
The top zodiac signs that struggle most with a break-up are Cancer, Taurus, and Scorpio.
Cancers are one of the most sensitive zodiac signs, as they are represented by Cardinal Water. They invest their emotions entirely into their connections and are often deeply troubled by relationships that do not work out. They are also one of the most nostalgic zodiac signs of all, as they also have strong ties to “the past” in astrology.
Taurus, embodying Fixed Earth energy, also struggles deeply with break-ups. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love, they are also the zodiac sign that tends to hold onto relationships and wait for the “one who got away” and cross paths—and get back together—with exes more than any other zodiac sign. Their stubbornness to move on can be due to their Earth-sign nature, but also the fact that they take their time opening up, so when they do, it is very hard to move on.
Scorpios, as Fixed Water, also have a major challenge with moving on—unless they have felt scorned or betrayed on a deep level. They are the most possessive and passionate zodiac sign of all, so when they are “all in,” they truly are “all or nothing.”
Leos and Aquarians, as Fixed signs, can also struggle to move on, but have an easier time than the other signs listed above.
How can those signs mentioned above break this pattern?
For all of the zodiac signs listed above, it is wise to find a way of self-care and healing. This can be done on a personal level or even consulting with a counselor, therapist, or spiritual guide. Finding “closure” is something we often want from other people, but closure is something that comes from within and not by waiting on other people. I also suggest taking time to mourn and process one’s feelings so that you can go through the stages of grief in a healthy way with healthy outlets rather than stewing in them or holding onto resentment. It is also never wise to “wait for someone.” Love—if it is true—can come back around (especially during retrograde cycles) but it is a waste of one’s life and emotions to wait for someone who doesn’t want to be with you. Taking a balanced perspective between the mind and heart can also help.
Which signs have the easiest time with breakups? Why?
Gemini and Sagittarius tend to have the easiest times with break-ups out of all of the zodiac signs. This is because they are Mutable signs, and embody Air and Fire, respectively. These forces are active, spontaneous, and crave movement, so lingering in one place over a situation or ex that has expired does not interest them.
Aries, as the leader of the zodiac, does not like to sit in one place for too long, either. This is why their first reaction in regards to a break-up will be anger, but once they let it flow through them, they’re onto the next conquest and have moved on.
Virgo, Libra, and Pisces can also have an easier time with break-ups as long as they have found a cognitive reason they know the relationship didn’t make sense for them. Virgos and Pisceans are flexible Mutable signs, whereas Libras are elemental Air and are always on the hunt for their “perfect person.”
What is something we can all learn from the signs above?
Life is short. Love is meant to be shared and explored. The past is in the past. It is best for us to honor the past, but never live in it, because the present and future are still to be experienced and created.
