OCTOBER 2021 ASTROLOGY HOROSCOPE FOR YOUR ZODIAC SIGN

Change is never easy. It can be scary, as we don’t know what lies ahead. So often, we like to stay in our comfort zones and resist the unknown. But being comfortable is not the way of nature, as we must always adjust to the weathering effects of life. Like a jasmine vine that is being hidden within the shadows of a much larger tree, we eventually realize that we aren’t going to be able to thrive if we are only getting a little bit of what we need. This propels the jasmine to climb in new directions to find its light and ultimately blossom. We are like that jasmine—always on a quest to reach fulfillment, even if that requires some tough choices to pivot and break free of what stops us from growth. In the month ahead, as many planets shift directions, we will find that we, too, must reflect on what has stood in our path and how we’ve circumvented those challenges. By the end of October 2021, we’ll see life quicken and we’ll face the realization that we cannot stand in the shadows. No—we must stand within our light even if that means embracing change.

At the onset of the month, the Sun will move through the partnership-focused zodiac sign of Libra until October 23. Libra Season causes us to turn our attention to how we are cooperating with the people around us—or if we need to reassess and renegotiate where we stand. Come from a place of serenity and harmony in your relationships now, rather than co-dependency. Consider your boundaries, wants, and needs in your partnerships so that you can either find them with the right match or clearly articulate them to the person at your side. A New Moon in Libra (13 degrees) arrives on October 6, 2021. New Moons open a door in our lives depending on where they fall for your Rising Sign and Sun Sign. While something fresh always arrives, you must show the Universe your intent through actions in order to harness the most benefit from this lunation. With Libra energy being infused into the cosmos, we will have a greater focus on balance, harmony, and justice. Partnerships become especially important to us all, and often marriages, unions, or collaborations take place more significantly now. However, with Mercury retrograde, it is not in favor to start any new relationships in business or love officially. Wait until November if you can. Yet, you can use this New Moon to improve current connections and make new plans together, such as how you’d like to build over the coming six months to a year. Our cosmic messenger, Mercury, continues to pirouette backwards through the zodiac sign of Libra this month. This Mercury Retrograde phase began on September 27 and will continue officially until October 18. Relationship topics will be on the top of our minds, as we want to make sure we are on the same page as our lovers, friends, collaborators, and business associates. Communication breakdowns are likely to take place, and situations or connections from the past may re-emerge now in order to find closure or begin anew once again. Since September 10, 2021 Venus, has submerged herself within the depths of Scorpio. She will dance within this abyss until October 7. During this time, we will yearn for connections that unite our body and soul with another. Relationships will become deeply passionate—and our hunger for love will become ravenous. Union will be highly emotional and we will suddenly feel “all or nothing” when it comes to sex, love, and desire. Expect intensity within dating—and the need for experiences that are unforgettable. Venus will become the goddess of the night now, bringing us closer to our need to feel alive and passionate. Possessiveness, jealousy, and a fiery rapture are all possible during this time, as we may become consumed by our heart’s longing to be with our soulmate no matter the cost. On October 7, 2021 our goddess planet of love and beauty will dance on into the fields of Sagittarius and ignite like a fire dancer. She will frolic amongst the flames until November 5, 2021. Fiery Mars also continues to energize the zodiac sign of Libra until October 30, 2021, having first begun his trek here in mid-September. During this period, relationship matters will become especially important to us—whether they be romantic, business, or collaborative. Flying solo won’t interest us quite as much at this time. Instead, we are more likely to do what it takes to work together. This can lead us to take a more indirect approach to getting what we want or even engage in passive-aggression if we are feeling frustrated in our unions. We are inclined to use our passion and charm as a means to an end during this cycle, yet could find ourselves as more indecisive and uncertain to rock the boat. We will be less likely to resort to force when taking action, but could engage in mental battles or do what it takes to make our opposition uncomfortable—with flair of style, grace, and innocence. No matter where you stand in your relationships, now is the time to align yourself with the right mirror and work toward your goals as a team.

A Full Moon in Aries (27 degrees) will light up the night on October 20, 2021. The energy of this Full Moon will begin to roar into our lives two days prior and last four days after. You will feel energized, independent, and ready to take charge of an area of your life. Carve out the path that will bring you to fulfillment. You will notice how far you have come since the New Moon in Aries that took place earlier in the year on April 11, 2021. You may receive a harvest from these efforts or realize that now is the time to change direction.

When the Sun becomes submerged within the stormy seas of Scorpio beginning October 23, 2021, we will collectively be drawn to explore our intimate and passionate needs more closely. Mars, the planet of passion, sex, and drive, will also enter here shortly thereafter—starting October 30, 2021. We will become more extreme in our emotions and focus on living purely in alignment with what our desires hunger for. Our strength and drive will intensify, as we crave to win, transform, and experience things deeply. Our feelings can become more extreme as we do not want “a middle ground.” We want all or nothing. Our trio of powerhouse planets—Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter—also awaken by mid-month. This means that we will see much more momentum building in our lives. Pluto arises beginning the 6th, followed by Saturn on the 10th, and finally Jupiter on the 18th. Magnificent Jupiter continues to tour the realm of Aquarius until December 28, 2021. Our Great Benefic takes twelve years to go around the Sun, and wherever he goes, he brings growth and luck. Oftentimes, he will act as a “guardian angel” and bring forth blessings and opportunities. In Aquarius, he will amplify our inventive, innovative, humanitarian, and intellectual natures. There will be a greater focus on equality, diversity, and experimentation—however, this energy will clash with the forces of Saturn so there will be a strong battle between growth versus restrictions in all of these areas. There will be a sudden boom in science and technology and we could even see a more humanitarian approach rising in some global leaders. There will be a push for progress from Jupiter with a stern focus on limitations from Saturn. In many ways, this period will feel like we are taking two steps forward and then one step back. Communities and social movements will see a renewed vigor on both sides of the fence—conservative and liberal. Organization will become instrumental on how well any group fares during this time. Globally, we will be especially focused on the “future” and what lies ahead, which will bring astrology, science, and philosophy into the public eye.
