SUPER BOWL LVII 2023 ASTROLOGY PREDICTIONS
When it comes to making astrology predictions—particularly in regards to major events like the Super Bowl—there are many factors to consider. First and foremost, looking at each team’s date of inception is extremely important, as it reveals the natal chart for each team. Yet, because this information is not readily available, several other factors can help us understand some of the cosmic forces affecting the direction of where they are headed in the heat of the moment. One could look at the coach or owner of the team to understand the business and vision for where they’re headed, but the factor that is most pivotal in the battlefield is the natal chart of the leader—or quarterback—of the team. This is why in my analysis going forward I have chosen to peer into each quarterback specifically.
Also, it is crucial to view the exact moment the Super Bowl begins—February 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM (Eastern)—as this gives insight into the catalyst and inception of the entire event to come.
Patrick Mahomes’s birth chart shows he is strategic—but also intuitive
Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, was born on September 17, 1995. This makes him a hardworking, determined Virgo Sun with an intuitive Cancer Moon. When looking at his elemental energy, we can see that he is heavily based in Earth and Water. This gives him innate strength, but also a sensitive touch when it comes to how he processes the world.
When looking at crucial factors that have helped forge Mahomes into the powerhouse that he is, his natal chart gives us an opportunity to peer behind the helmet. First and foremost, his Sun, which ties to his life force, is in an exact opposition with Saturn, the planet of karma and life lessons. This grants him a tremendous ability to concentrate, as well as makes him strong-willed, ambitious, and hungry to make his mark on the world. This can make him very forceful. In total honesty, many of the astrological aspects within his birth chart reveal that he is immensely strong-willed, favoring his own vision and insight over the advice of others. While he will take what others have to say to heart, he is meticulous, calculating, and strategic. My favorite thing about his chart, though, is that he can easily blend his innate sensitivity with discriminating clear thinking, as well. His Sun and Moon make the most aspects within his chart, which I love because it helps him to operate out of balanced temperament the vast majority of the time.
Jalen Hurt’s birth chart reveals he’s cunning and intense
Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, was born on August 7, 1998. This makes him a fiery Leo Sun with an Aquarius Moon. With this polarity inherent in his birth chart, right off the bat we know he is a man who has spent a great deal of his life focusing on balancing very intense energy. When it comes to elemental energy that runs through his birth chart, he is significantly based in Fire, with a focus on Air and Water after that. He possesses very little Earth in his birth chart. This is what makes him courageous and passionate, but also able to analyze effectively while also being aware of his inner emotions. Yet, with his Aquarius Moon being prominent, it does show that he intellectualizes his feelings rather than leaning into them completely.
When looking at key themes that run through his birth chart, we can see that he is a forceful individual who is inherently focused on controlling his life, surroundings, the outcomes, and the people around him. While he can certainly be an effective leader, he is someone who is not wise to disobey. With his Moon linked to Pluto, the planet of domination, the emotions and energies that run through him are of a tremendous nature. While this was likely born out of insecurity in his childhood, particularly around survival instincts and perhaps in relation to his mother, he felt that the only way he could achieve in this world was by focusing his entire vision on one goal and then smashing it. His Sun is also opposed to Uranus, which makes him reckless and rebellious—but also someone to be feared and honored for his ability to break from convention and take the lead in his own way.
What do the stars predict for Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurt for Super Bowl 2023?
Moment of truth: who has a better chance of victory in Super Bowl 2023? While I would’ve loved to have their exact times of birth in order to determine their accurate Ascendants, we can still tell a lot about each of their personalities from their dates of birth. Mahomes is the more balanced of the two, while Hurt is fearsome and courageous. Mahomes focuses on achievement through steady growth and refining his strategies, whereas Hurt is lightning in a bottle. Mahomes is the more grounded of the two, whereas Hurt is the more intimidating energy when faced with combat. Mahomes will try to outsmart Hurt, leaning into his strategy, while Hurt will focus on living in the moment. Hurt will also encourage his teammates to intimidate their opponents—particularly beforehand through the use of women, parties, and strategic intimidation. Mahomes will do his best to focus on upholding his integrity but will be brought into potential schemes in regards to financial bargaining.
Let’s start with Mahomes. On the date of the Super Bowl, I can see that he has a tremendous amount of luck on his side. First off, transiting Jupiter, the planet of miracles, will be in an exact trine—or degree of harmony—with his natal Jupiter on February 13. This energy is especially potent on the exact date beforehand, as well, which is a major symbol of victory, expansion, and blessings. He will feel—and be—on top of the world. However, with his transiting Venus in conjunction with his natal Saturn, I do sense a loss and a sadness within him. He is also facing many extremely intense long-term astrological transitions that are encouraging him to be reborn and change into a new version of himself, particularly Neptune opposite his Sun, Saturn square his natal Pluto, and Pluto sextile his natal Pluto and Chiron. Energetically, he is not facing the easiest swim upstream—and the only way he will be able to win is if Jupiter, which is direct and linked to his natal Jupiter, brings forth a miracle.
Now let’s look at Hurts. On the date of the Super Bowl, his astrological energy shows that he may awaken on this day with a sense of a hangover. He is experiencing many cosmic factors that are weakening and confusing his mind and making him more on edge. There will be a great deal of pressure upon him, particularly in regards to older male figures and authorities. He will most certainly be utilizing some form of hypnotic drugs around this point in time—even if it is just alcohol. Part of this is to alleviate some of his innate fear and insecurity, but also to help him remain loose. Interestingly enough is that once the smoke clears from his periphery, he will be even sharper and more ruthless as he pursues his victory. My favorite thing for him on this day, though, is that his Jupiter, the planet of luck, will also be linked to his Uranus, but it is a long-term transit and isn’t something that is exact on this day. This is why I think he’s in a long-term trend toward growth rather than having a breakthrough now.
Because of all of this: my genuine assessment is that Mahomes has a more positive chart on the day of the Super Bowl, while Hurt’s will bring learning curves and life lessons in order to improve his career and path going forward. Both will receive invaluable wisdom from the experience, but with so much confusion in particular in Hurt’s chart at this time, he would have to truly block all of it out to see through that fog.
